Find the system that is not working, check the exact requirement first, then separate a gameplay condition from a possible tracking or game-side issue.

Halloween Troubleshooting FAQ
- Why isn't my Challenge counting?
- Start with the system: Story, Passive, Progressive and Prestige Challenges each track a different thing. Check the exact requirement for that system first, then the character, weapon, chapter or tier, and only then treat it as a tracking problem.
- Why isn't an escape working?
- Check the exact escape and, for Gate or Cellar, the interaction variant in front of you. Confirmed item requirements are variant-specific and do not transfer between escapes. If every confirmed requirement is met and the interaction still fails, a gameplay or interaction problem remains possible.
- Why isn't an item at a mapped source?
- A mapped pin marks the exact source container or hiding spot. Its contents can still be randomized, so the pin is not a guaranteed item spawn. Individual item odds are not published.
- Why is a hiding spot empty?
- Hiding spots use an any-loot chance that may be under 100%. Empty is a possible state and does not describe the chance of a specific item.
- Why is an Achievement still locked?
- Check the exact requirement, the mode you were in and whether a Challenge or progression condition is also part of it. Where the developers have publicly identified an Achievement, that status is shown with its date and source.
- Why can't I find a location or a Recording?
- Story areas, Multiplayer maps and Recordings are three different layers. A Multiplayer pin marks an exact source on one of the match maps, while a Recording is a Story collectible with an area, building or room.
- Why is a character still locked?
- Check the confirmed requirement for that character. Profile Level and a Civilian’s own level are different progressions, and some characters unlock through a specific edition instead.
