Progression
Halloween: The Game Progression Guide
Profile, Killer, Civilian and Weapon Level run as four separate tracks, alongside Challenges and a Perk Point economy. This page tells you which system controls the unlock you are chasing, and where to go next.
Quick answer
Profile, Killer, Civilian and Weapon Level are four parallel tracks, not one ladder. XP advances levels; Perk Points are a separate currency used for Perk Cards.
Four tracks
Which Level Am I Actually Raising?
The four tracks run in parallel. Raising one does not raise another, and each is tied to a different object.
Profile Level

- XP earned across Story and Multiplayer play
- Used for
- Account-wide rewards, cosmetics and profile unlocks
Killer Level
- Tracks
- Michael
- Grows from
- Playing as Michael in Haddonfield
- Used for
- Michael progression and Killer-side unlocks
It is a separate track from Profile Level, not a later stage of it.

Unlock Finder
How Do I Unlock It?
Search a reward and see which progression system controls it. Where the exact source is not published yet, the page says so instead of guessing.
Search a reward or a system, for example a Civilian, an execution, a Starting Item or a Perk Card.
The exact requirement for most individual rewards has not been published yet. What is confirmed is which progression track controls it.
Track 1
Profile Level
- What it is
- The account-wide track. XP you earn counts here whichever character you are playing.
- What increases it
- XP earned across Story and Multiplayer play.
- What it can unlock
- Progression can open additional playable Civilians, Michael abilities, Starting Items, cosmetics, Challenge tiers, executions and other rewards.
- What to check next
- Profile rewards and Challenge tiers are tracked through Achievements and Challenges.
The exact requirement for most individual rewards has not been published yet. What is confirmed is which progression track controls it.
Track 2
Killer Level – Michael Progression
This is how Michael grows. For how to actually play him, use the Michael character page and the weapons and executions sections.
- What it tracks
- Michael.
- What increases it
- Playing as Michael in Haddonfield.
- What it connects to
- Killer progression is where Michael abilities, executions and Killer-side cosmetics sit.
Confirmed Michael abilities
These Killer abilities have player-facing names in the current build. Killer progression is the track that can unlock new Michael abilities.
Killer Sense
Enter the mask in first person to stalk victims with precision and scan for noise in the environment.
Shape Jump
A traversal ability used to slip in and out of the shadows undetected.
Shape Dash
A short surge of speed while in Shape Jump.
Reality Tear
Forces Michael into or out of Shape Jump regardless of the situation.
Bloodthirst
A multi-level passive meter that fills through actions such as stalk, kill and execute, grants passive boosts, and drains through light, damage and being downed.
Blackout
A localized blackout that temporarily disables anything powered.
Evil Presence
Emits an area of evil aura that hinders nearby victims and boosts Michael.
Detection Pulse
An expanding pulse that temporarily marks victims and occupied structures in a large radius.
Shadow Strike
Throws a shadow knife that slows and temporarily blinds the victim.
Shape Mines
Placeable motion detectors that mark and jumpscare victims who trip them.
Teleport
Opens a top-down view of the map to pick a location and teleport there.
Which ability unlocks at which Killer Level has not been published yet.
Track 3
Civilian Level – Each Character Progresses Separately
Civilian Level belongs to the Civilian you are playing. Progress on one character does not level the others.
Pick the exact Civilian you want to level, then play that character. Character stats, Unique Traits and assigned Perks are on the Characters hub.

Per-character unlock levels are not published yet, so this page does not guess which Civilian unlocks at which level.
Civilian unlocks
Starting Item Unlocks
Starting Items are part of the Civilian loadout, and Civilian progression can unlock supplemental ones.
The current build proves Starting Items exist and can be unlocked, but it does not publish a per-character Starting Item table yet.
Track 4
Weapon Level – Michael Weapons
Weapon Level belongs to the weapon, not to Michael overall.
- What it tracks
- A single equipable Michael weapon.
- What increases it
- Dispatching victims with that specific weapon equipped.
- What it connects to
- Weapon progression rewards, that weapon's executions, and related Challenges and Achievements.
Per-weapon reward lists are not published yet. The Weapons hub has each weapon's confirmed stats, availability and executions.
Challenges
Which Challenge Type Do I Need?
Halloween: The Game tracks three separate Challenge systems. They are not interchangeable.
Passive Challenges
Tracked automatically as you play. They do not depend on which character you selected.
Progressive Challenges
Bound to a specific Civilian, Michael skin or weapon type, and completed in order. A locked step does not progress until the previous one is done.
Story Challenges
Optional challenges inside each Story chapter. Completing them unlocks cosmetic rewards.
Economy
Perk Points Are Not XP
This is the most common mix-up in progression questions, so the two systems are kept separate here.
XP advances progression levels. Perk Points are a separate currency used for Civilian Perk Cards, and earning one does not advance the other.

What Perk Points are spent on
- Roll for new Perk Cards
- Spend more points for better odds on a higher-rarity roll
- Temporarily upgrade a card you already own
- Build a Perk Deck from the cards you have collected
Perk Cards and Decks
Perk Cards & Decks
This page explains the system. Choosing the best Perks is a loadout decision, and it lives on the Perks hub.
Perk Cards are rolled with Perk Points, and card rolls are randomized — spending more improves the odds of a higher-rarity roll rather than guaranteeing a specific card. A Perk Deck is built from the cards you have collected, so it reflects what you rolled rather than a fixed set.

How Prestige Works
Prestige is confirmed, and so are its core mechanics. The full challenge list is not, so this page does not print one.
Confirmed
- Prestige Challenges are attempted against a time limit.
- You can only attempt one Prestige Challenge at a time.
- Failing a Prestige Challenge means another attempt costs more Perk Points.
- A Prestige attempt can require a player level.
- Completing the timed Prestige Challenge advances the Prestige Level.
- The UI distinguishes Profile Prestige and item-specific Prestige.
Prestige mechanics are confirmed. The full list of Prestige Challenges is not published yet, so this page does not list them. Apply the same caution to exact caps, costs and timers: they are not published yet.

Troubleshooting
Why Isn't My Progress Moving?
Most cases come down to which object the track belongs to, so check that first.
Check the track owner first
- My Civilian Level is not moving
- Civilian Level belongs to the Civilian you are playing. If you switched characters, the earlier progress stayed on the character that earned it — it does not carry over.
- My Weapon Level is not increasing
- Weapon Level is per weapon. Progress comes from victims dispatched with that specific equipable weapon, so kills with a different weapon go to a different track.
- A Progressive Challenge is not progressing
- Progressive Challenges are bound to a specific Civilian, Michael skin or weapon type, and they run in order. Check that you are on the bound character or weapon, and that the previous step is complete.
- A Story Challenge is not completing
- Story Challenges are registered per chapter and can require a specific weapon, execution or condition. Open the Challenge to check its exact requirement and timing window.

Halloween Progression FAQ
- What are the four progression levels in Halloween: The Game?
- Profile Level, Killer Level, Civilian Level and Weapon Level. They are four separate tracks, not one ladder — Profile Level does not feed into Killer, Civilian or Weapon Level.
- Does every Civilian have a separate level?
- Yes. Civilian Level is tied to each playable Civilian, so progress on one character does not level the others.
- Does using one Michael weapon level every weapon?
- No. Weapon Level belongs to one specific equipable weapon. Using a different weapon builds that weapon’s own track.
- What is the difference between XP and Perk Points?
- XP advances progression levels. Perk Points are a separate currency used for Civilian Perk Cards. Earning one does not advance the other.
- How do I unlock Perk Cards?
- Perk Points come from completing matches. Spend them to roll for new cards; spending more improves the odds of a higher-rarity roll.
- What are Perk Decks?
- A Perk Deck is a set of cards you have collected and equipped. Card rolls are randomized, so a deck is built from what you rolled rather than a fixed guaranteed set.
- What are Passive and Progressive Challenges?
- Passive Challenges track automatically and do not depend on your character selection. Progressive Challenges are bound to a specific Civilian, Michael skin or weapon type, and complete in order.
- How does Prestige work?
- Prestige becomes available after reaching the maximum progression level in a progression category. It uses timed Prestige Challenges — one at a time — and completing one advances your Prestige Level. Failing means the next attempt costs more Perk Points.
- How do I unlock new Civilians?
- New Civilians come through the account unlock system, which supports Player Level, Achievement, entitlement and Prestige requirements. The exact requirement for each Civilian has not been published yet, so check the Characters hub and Achievements for what is confirmed.
- Why is my progression not increasing?
- Check three things: that you are on the right Civilian, that you are using the specific weapon, and that a Progressive Challenge is bound to the character or weapon you are running.
Progression rules are confirmed against the current build. Where a requirement has not been published, this page says so rather than filling the gap with a guess.
