Hatchet Prestige or Hatchet Progressive Challenges?
These are two separate systems, and they are easy to mix up because both use the word “Challenge”. Progressive Challenges are the Hatchet’s progression chain. Prestige is a timed attempt with its own tiers and pool.
| Question | Progressive | Prestige |
|---|---|---|
| What it is for | The Hatchet’s ordered progression chain | A timed Hatchet Prestige attempt |
| What you work on next | Previous task → current task → next task | One Challenge from the current tier’s possible pool |
| Where the target comes from | The Progressive task’s own tracked target | The exact Prestige target listed below |
| Time limit | Set by the task itself | The tier’s Prestige duration (1 Day here) |
| What it advances | The Hatchet’s Progressive chain | Hatchet’s Prestige tier |
Passive Challenges are a third system. They progress automatically and never advance a Prestige tier.

View Progressive ChainHow Hatchet Prestige Works
- Progress the HatchetReach the weapon’s maximum progression level. Weapon Level and Weapon Prestige are two separate systems, so a weapon can be Prestige-ready while its Prestige tier is still P1.
- Start the attemptThe confirmed base attempt cost is 3,000 Perk Points, and every Hatchet tier uses the same amount.
- Complete the active ChallengeThe Challenge you are given comes from the confirmed pool for that weapon and tier. The pool and its exact targets are listed below, so you can check the requirement you actually received.
- Continue to the next Prestige tierCompleting the timed Challenge advances Hatchet’s Prestige tier. Failing it means a retry costs more Perk Points than the base attempt.
Prestige becomes available once the weapon has reached the maximum level of its own progression track. The exact level threshold is not part of the recovered data, so this guide does not name a number for it.
Only one Prestige Challenge runs at a time. Starting a weapon Prestige attempt does not add a second active Challenge next to a Profile, Civilian or Michael Myers one.
Failing a Prestige Challenge means another attempt costs more Perk Points than the base attempt. The exact increase is not confirmed, so no retry total is calculated here.

Why did I get a different Challenge?
Each Prestige tier of a weapon has its own confirmed pool of possible Challenges, so two attempts can return different entries. This page lists the Challenges confirmed for that tier, with each exact target. The game data does not expose a verified selection weight, so this guide does not claim that every entry is equally likely.
What Counts in Hatchet Prestige Challenges
The tracked action and the target are the values shipped in the current game data. Where the exact counting condition is not closed by that data, this page says so instead of adding a rule of its own.

Hatchet Prestige Challenge Not Counting?
Check these in order
- The Challenge is not progressing
- Check that this is the currently active Prestige Challenge, then compare the tracked action against the exact requirement for your tier below. Some objectives need a more specific action than the short description suggests.
- The counter never moved, even once
- Confirm the required weapon. Every Challenge in this pool is a Hatchet objective, so the same action with another weapon will not count.
- Progress moved once and then stopped
- Re-read the target condition on the card. Objectives that name a victim state, an execution type or a specific object only count that exact case.
- The Challenge text is missing in game
- Restart the game and check the active Prestige Challenge again before troubleshooting the requirement itself.
- I got a different Challenge than someone else
- That is expected: a Hatchet Prestige tier contains a confirmed pool of possible Challenges. Pool membership is known; the selection weighting is not.
- The Challenge I was given is not in this list
- Check the tier first — this page shows one tier at a time, and the pool grows between P1 and P5. Also check the subject: Profile, Civilian and Michael Myers Prestige each have their own pool.
This page lists the requirement for every tier. Known-issue tracking for the game itself belongs on the Troubleshooting hub, not in the requirement list above.
Continue Hatchet Progression
Weapon Level, the Hatchet Progressive chain and Hatchet Prestige are three different things. Finish the chain, check the weapon itself, or look up its executions without leaving this workflow.

Hatchet Prestige FAQ
- How many Prestige levels does the Hatchet have?
- 5 weapon Prestige tiers, P1 through P5.
- How much does Hatchet Prestige cost?
- 3,000 Perk Points is the confirmed base attempt cost, and every Hatchet tier uses the same amount. A failed attempt costs more Perk Points to retry, but the exact increase is not confirmed.
- Which Hatchet Prestige Challenge will I get?
- Each tier has a confirmed pool of possible Challenges — P1 1, P2 2, P3 3, P4 7, P5 7. The pool membership and every exact target are known; how the game selects one is not.
- Do I have to use the Hatchet itself?
- Yes. Every Challenge in this pool is a Hatchet objective, so the tracked action has to be performed with the Hatchet. Where the objective is restricted further — a victim state, an execution type or a specific object — the card says so.
- Why isn’t my Hatchet Prestige Challenge counting?
- Start with the active Challenge, confirm the required weapon, then compare the tracked action with the exact requirement and target for your tier. If the Challenge text is missing in game, restart the game before troubleshooting the requirement.
- Is Hatchet Prestige the same as Hatchet Progressive Challenges?
- No. Progressive Challenges are one fixed chain completed in order and belong to the Hatchet’s progression track. Prestige is a separate track with one timed Challenge per tier and a base attempt cost.
- Can I see Hatchet stats, damage and locations on this page?
- No. This page covers Prestige only. Damage, attack power, stamina, acquisition and executions stay on the Hatchet weapon guide.
